Editing Content

Edit text

Double-click any text on the canvas and type your own content.

Replace images

Select an image, open the properties panel on the right and click the image field. Upload your own photo. Use good-quality images, but don't make them larger than necessary (loading speed).

Adjust colors and fonts

Open Styles in the left sidebar. Change colors and text styles there once and the update applies across the whole website. For the exact font sizes and paddings used in this template, see the Style Guide.

Manage content in the CMS

Many templates use the CMS (e.g. for menus, blog posts or events). Open CMS in the left sidebar, choose a collection, then edit, add or delete entries.

Add or remove pages

In the Pages tab you can duplicate, rename or delete pages. Remember to check your navigation afterwards.

Check the mobile view

At the top of the canvas you can switch between desktop, tablet and phone. Review all three.

Site settings and SEO

  1. Open Site Settings (gear icon).
  2. Under General, enter your site name and upload a favicon.
  3. For every page, set a unique title and description in the Page Settings. This matters for Google.
  4. Upload a social preview image. It is shown when your link is shared.
  5. Fill in the legal pages (imprint, privacy policy) with your own details.
warning

The imprint and privacy policy in the template are placeholders only. Replace them with your own, legally reviewed texts before publishing.

Publish your website

  1. Click Publish at the top right.
  2. Framer first publishes your site on a free address such as yourproject.framer.website.
  3. After every later change, click Publish again to push it live.

Connect your own domain

info

A custom domain requires a paid Framer site plan. You can find the current plans in Site Settings under Plans or at framer.com/pricing.

  1. Choose a suitable site plan in Site Settings and complete the purchase.
  2. Open Domains and click Add Domain.
  3. Enter your domain. Framer shows you the required DNS records (usually an A record for the root domain and a CNAME for www).
  4. Log in to your domain provider (e.g. IONOS, Strato, GoDaddy) and enter exactly these records in the DNS settings.
  5. Return to Framer and let it verify the connection. Activation can take a few minutes up to a few hours.
  6. Make sure the HTTPS certificate is active (Framer sets it up automatically).
